What’s a Release?

A release is an authorization. That is to say: people, places or logos that could require previous authorization to be visible in a content. Each content that requires a release for commercial sale must present the appropriate authorization.

There are two kinds of releases you could need: the model release, concerning physical people, and property release, concerning intellectual property, such as logos, buildings and registered brands.

It is the custom to assure Whoosnap you possess all due authorizations, since that will exponentially increase your work’s value. That’s why we ask you to confirm you possess them before each one of your publications.

If you’re not sure whether your content requires a release, don’t freak out! The Whoosnap Team will take care of the problem and will allow only editorial sale for these contents.
